Job Summary
Bilingual Part-Time Interpreter/Translator providing in-person and virtual interpretation between Spanish speakers and English speakers for Briarpatch Youth Services. Responsibilities include interpretation in meetings between staff and youth/families, translation of agency brochures and literature, maintaining an accessible interpretation calendar, completing daily logs/timesheets/activity reports, and potential caseload management with training. Requires fluency in English and Spanish, with at least 1 year of professional onsite interpreting experience preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is required with Associate’s or Bachelor's degree preferred. Strong interpersonal, confidentiality, and professionalism are essential, with flexible meeting times and travel throughout Dane County. Offers hourly pay of $28 and part-time scheduling (10 hours/week with potential additional hours). Benefits not offered; background checks required.
Required Qualifications
- Fluency in English and Spanish (test will be given)
- Minimum of 1 year of professional onsite interpreting experience preferred

- Punctuality, reliability, and professionalism
