Job Summary
Bilingual HR Generalist handling HR support for field and retail employees, providing guidance on employee relations, recruitment strategies, performance management, training, health and safety, and payroll administration. Responsibilities include payroll administration (bi-weekly), onboarding documentation liaison, policy development, HR program delivery, compliance with Canadian labour laws, workplace wellness, and cross-functional collaboration with HR and Operations to support recruitment, training, and employee relations. Requires 5 years HR Generalist experience, 2-3 years recruiting, and fluency in English and French; knowledge of Dayforce and Microsoft Suite preferred; experience in retail/grocery is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual (English and French) written and verbal
- 5 years’ experience working as an HR Generalist
- 2-3 years’ experience recruiting
- Applied knowledge of local labour laws across Canadian provinces
- Experience with Dayforce or similar HRIS
- Strong integrity and ability to handle confidential information
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Experience in retail/grocery sector is an asset
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Proven coaching and employee-management support capabilities
