Job Summary
The Bilingual Housing Case Manager will provide high intensity housing search and housing support to clients facing barriers in securing affordable housing. Responsibilities include managing a caseload of 30-35 clients, developing individualized housing service plans, coordinating support services, advocating for clients with various housing entities, and educating clients about housing requirements. Candidates must demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills, have relevant experience in housing search and retention, and be comfortable working in multicultural settings. This role requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, proficiency in English and another language, and attendance at various meetings and trainings.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual (English/Spanish, Haitian Creole) required.
- Bachelor degree with 1-2 years’ experience preferred, or High school diploma with 3 or more years of client advocacy experience.
- Experience advocating for clients with government assistance agencies, housing authorities, private landlords or realtors preferred.
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills, including Google office suites and Internet use.
- Must be CPR certified (may be obtained upon hire).
- Complete TB screening (may be obtained upon hire).
- Three strong work related professional references; at least 2 from manager or supervisor.
Desired Qualifications
- A valid Massachusetts driver’s license with a safety driving points of 00, 99, 01, 02, or 03.
Additional Requirements
- Must be CPR certified (may be obtained upon hire).
- Complete TB screening (may be obtained upon hire).
- Three strong work related professional references; at least 2 from manager or supervisor.
