Job Summary
Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene while providing companionship and emotional support. Help with mobility, transfers, walking, and fall prevention, as well as meal preparation and feeding support when needed. Offer light housekeeping related to the client's care, provide medication reminders per agency policy, and monitor changes in the client's condition or home environment. Follow the assigned care plan, maintain client privacy and dignity, and report concerns to the care team. Arrive on time for flexible shifts in Miami, including Little Havana, Coral Way, and Coconut Grove, and communicate schedule changes promptly. Valid Home Health Aide certificate and bilingual Spanish skills are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Home Health Aide certificate
- Must meet all Matrix Home Care hiring and compliance requirements
- Must be dependable, professional, and able to follow a care plan
- Experience working with elderly clients or clients requiring assistance with daily living activities
- Experience with personal care, transfers, mobility support, and companionship
- Strong communication skills with clients, families, and office staff
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
