Bilingual Health Care Assistant

Bilingual English/Spanish Health Care Assistant at PPWI Mitchell Street in Milwaukee (40 hours/week) provides clinical and administrative support in a medical clinic. Responsibilities include front desk duties, interviewing and educating patients, documenting history in EHR, assisting clinical staff during exams, preparing exam rooms and medical equipment, managing medical supply inventory, performing laboratory tests (urine pregnancy testing, hemoglobin, HIV testing, point of care urinalysis, Rh testing), vital signs, injections, phlebotomy, IV placement and pelvic ultrasound under supervision, and ensuring compliance with safety policies. Requires strong customer service, effective communication, and ability to work independently or as part of a team; bilingual (English/Spanish) skills may be required; CPR certification preferred. Education and training benefits are provided, and starting pay is $20.15/hour with an additional $1.50/hour for bilingual skills, with benefits including health insurance contributions, PTO, holiday pay, 401(k), parental leave, tuition assistance, and Public Service Loan Forgiveness eligibility.
