Job Summary
Lead teams of general construction laborers performing physical work with hand tools and lifting materials for foundation repair, soil stabilization, and concrete leveling projects. Manage project schedules, assume additional responsibilities, and work extended hours to meet deadlines while maintaining daily equipment checks, quality control, and site safety. Research methods for unique assignments in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, and handle all employee matters with fairness. Maintain internal communication through feedback programs and one-on-one meetings, aligning team efforts with company strategic goals and mutually agreed-upon KPIs. Requires bilingual English and Spanish proficiency, a valid FL driver's license, and flexibility for weekends, holidays, and occasional out-of-town projects.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent
- Bilingual English and Spanish proficiency
- 3+ years of experience in construction general labor and/ or working outside for long hours
- Reliable transportation, valid FL driver's license, and a clean driving record
- Familiarity with construction project team management and delegation
- The ability to be coached and mentored and collaborate within a team environment
- Possess excellent project management skills with the proven ability to drive ideas into action
- Enjoy thinking strategically to align perspectives, voices, and opinions
- Offer excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and meaningful relationships
- Knowledge of engineering and construction processes, codes, and standards
- Well-organized and able to meet deadlines
- Varies; will require flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Local day travel is required
- Position requires occasional overtime
- Occasional week-long projects out of town (stipend by the company)
- Must be able to lift/carry/push or pull - up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to hear equipment operating, alarms sounding, traffic, telephones
- Ability to see clearly at 20 inches/50 centimeters or less and at 20 feet/6 meters or more
