Job Summary
Assess and advise members on financial needs by opening accounts, servicing loans, and cross-selling products through a consultation approach. Originates home equity, personal, and auto loans by reviewing applications, interviewing applicants, and conducting closings while resolving member complaints and following up on interactions. Utilizes lead lists for outbound calls to existing members and performs teller duties as needed. Acts as a liaison to Business Services, attends community events, and represents the credit union professionally in dress and actions. Complies with all regulatory requirements including the Bank Secrety Act and FACT Act.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1+ year of retail banking or related sales and customer service experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Mountain America Accounts and Lending training
- Required regulatory and compliance trainings
- Notary Public certification
- NMLS Certification
- Qualification as a Mortgage Loan Originator under S.A.F.E Act
- Thorough knowledge of credit union policies, procedures and regulations
- Ability to prepare loan documents
- Ability to cross-sell financial services
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations
- Ability to communicate effectively using written and verbal communication
- Ability to talk, hear, sit, use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms consistently
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel and crouch occasionally
- Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less)
- Distance Vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more)
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds consistently
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to travel to other branches
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual (Spanish)
- Symitar experience
- Type a minimum of 35 words per minute
- Basic computer operating skills
- Beginner to intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
