Bilingual Financial Center Consultant I (Teller) - Northside

Job Summary

Greet members, conduct teller transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and check cashing, and resolve operational issues while balancing cash daily. Provide guidance on financial products and services to exceed monthly sales goals and build exceptional rapport with customers. Manage lobby coverage by answering calls, directing members, and proactively supporting marketing initiatives. Adhere to all federal and state compliance regulations, including Bank Secrety Act and Anti-Money Laundering requirements, and attend mandatory annual training. Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:15 pm, with Saturday coverage from 8:45 am to 1:15 pm.

Required Qualifications

  • One to two years minimum experience in a retail or financial environment that requires excellence in service while building exceptional rapport with member/customers
  • Cash handling daily with the ability to balance without overages or shortages
  • Strong communication skills that let you converse freely and comfortably in all interactions with members
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bilingual required- able to read, write, and speak Spanish
  • Need to be available during the hours of 8am- 6:15pm Monday - Friday, and 8:45am-1:15pm Saturdays
  • Responsible for compliance of all Federal and State rules and regulations pertaining but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Bribery Act, NCUA Privacy Regulations, Reg DD, Reg E, Reg CC, Reg Z, Reg B, FCRA/FACTA, and Service Members Civil Relief
  • Required to attend initial and ongoing annual Bank Secrecy Act training
  • Only applicants with good credit history will be considered for open positions
  • If offered a position with EECU, will have to clear background check including employment, criminal, and drug screen

  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks daily
  • Good listener that is approachable, can problem solve and be empathetic
  • Relevant computer skills, solid math and written communication skills
