Job Summary
Bilingual Field Interviewer needed for part-time work on the NSDUH government-sponsored research study. Responsibilities include traveling to selected households, conducting in-person interviews with respondents, administering computer-assisted interviews and standardized questionnaires, safeguarding project materials, transmitting data, maintaining administrative tasks (time/expense reports, calls, trainings), and attending virtual meetings. Must be fluent in English and Spanish, have a HS diploma or GED, valid US driver’s license, access to a personal automobile, and comfort with field-based data collection, after-dark work, and variable schedules. Prior training/certification for NSDUH field interviews is required; part-time schedule typically around evenings/weekends with travel expectations and potential overnight travel if needed. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Fluency in English and Spanish (reading, writing, speaking)
- Valid US driver’s license
- Reliable personal automobile for business use
- Comfortable using RTI issued tablet, laptop and other equipment
- Access to password-protected Wi-Fi for data transmissions
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of project information
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and after dark
- Ability to complete training and certification for NSDUH field interview
- Available for entire training and data collection period
- Ability to manage administrative duties and time/expense reporting
