Job Summary
Portray assigned characters during military training exercises as opposition forces, high-value individuals, or local nationals while maintaining immersion and adhering to safety protocols. Safely operate small arms training weapons and simulators across rural, urban, and maritime environments under varying weather conditions. Remain in character throughout scenarios while wearing designated attire appropriate to the assigned role and region. This 1099 independent contractor position requires U.S. citizenship, prior military or law enforcement experience, and conversational fluency in both English and Spanish. Candidates must meet OPNAVINST 6110.1J Physical Readiness Program standards and possess current knowledge of weapons systems. Shifts are 10 hours long, scheduled September 17–23, 2026, with fixed hours subject to mission adjustments. Reliable transportation is required.
Required Qualifications
- Prior military, law enforcement, or comparable experience
- U.S. Citizen
- Conversational fluency in both English and Spanish
- Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish sufficiently to support realistic military training scenarios
- Current or recent practical knowledge of small arms weapons systems
- Proficiency in the safe operation of weapons and/or weapons training simulators
- Ability to meet OPNAVINST 6110.1J Physical Readiness Program standards
- Ability to work in austere environments and varying weather conditions
- Reliable transportation to and from the exercise location
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, crawl, and move across uneven terrain
- Ability to lift and carry training equipment as required
- Ability to work outdoors in hot, humid, rural, urban, and maritime environments for extended periods
- 10-hour shifts
- Dates: 17 - 23 September 2026
