Job Summary
Welcome members with a warm greeting and process all transactions while following company policies and protecting member information. Exceed daily goals in lending and servicing activities by engaging in outreach efforts more than 50% of the time at Oportun locations, partner sites, and community events. Build relationships with local businesses, conduct outreach at flea markets and events to capture leads, and assist potential members with scanning QR codes to start applications. Support community marketing events by distributing flyers and educate the local community about Oportun's products. Perform light housekeeping duties including trash collection, sweeping, and window cleaning. Use a computer intermittently for administrative tasks and travel between designated work locations within a reasonable commuting distance.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Outgoing, sales-focused, and enjoy speaking with people
- Love to help members, including prospective members through outreach and educational activities
- Available to work weekends and be flexible with a rotating work schedule of hours based on store needs
- Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance to support store operations
- Willing and able to work outdoors year-round to identify new sales opportunities and promote company products and services through designated outreach activities
- Ability to lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds, as needed
- Basic computer skills and ability to operate office equipment such as, phones, scanners, and iPads
- Ability to organize and file paper documents
- Must have the ability to travel between designated work locations (including outreach activities) within a reasonable commuting distance as part of standard job duties
