Job Summary
Conduct eligibility assessments for clients, verifying they lack other payer sources like Medicaid or Medicare. Register clients into the CPCDMS, perform data entry, and maintain orderly eligibility files. Confirm eligibility appointments and set initial service appointments once eligibility is determined. Provide clients with required documentation lists and participate actively in the Performance Improvement Program. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required, with a Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM schedule.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- some medical knowledge
- Ability to understand and practice bookkeeping and accounting terminology
- Ability to operate computers and other office machines
- Must be able to take responsibility and work under pressure
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of 3-5 years of medical billing experience
- Some training or background in ICD-A / CPT codes
- Knowledge of medical terminology and billing practices
