Job Summary

Conduct eligibility assessments for clients, verifying they lack other payer sources like Medicaid or Medicare while adhering to specific program guidelines. Register clients into the CPCDMS system, perform data entry, and maintain orderly eligibility files for seamless access. Confirm eligibility appointments and set initial service dates once eligibility is determined, providing clients with required documentation lists. Participate actively in the Performance Improvement Program, promote effective working relations, and travel to other sites for training and coverage as needed. Ensure a safe environment by following proper procedures and reporting concerns.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • some medical knowledge
  • Ability to understand and practice bookkeeping and accounting terminology
  • Ability to operate computers and other office machines
  • Must be able to take responsibility and work under pressure
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Desired Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of medical billing experience
  • Some training or background in ICD-A / CPT codes
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and billing practices
