Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive child development and family support services for children ages 0-3, expectant mothers, and families through home visits, phone calls, and referrals. Ensure program compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and facilitate the Home Based Program in alignment with regulations. Lead community outreach efforts to recruit and enroll eligible children and families, maintaining prioritized wait lists. Collaborate with the education coordinator and Family Community Advocate Team to design activities that increase parent involvement and literacy. Develop individualized goals for each family using the Child Plus database to track enrollment and services. Act as an advocate for families navigating social systems while organizing client files to ensure documentation meets licensing requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in Early Childhood Education or a Bachelors degree in related field
- willingness and ability to obtain an early childhood professional Credential Level III within 3 months
- Bilingual in English and Spanish able to translate both verbally and in writing
- Experience with case management and family support
- valid Colorado driver's license
- state-mandated automobile insurance
- experience and knowledge of the NASW Social Work Code of Ethics
- experience and knowledge of NAEYC code of ethics
- ability to obtain a PDIS level and implement them in their practice
- familiarity with motivational interviewing techniques and skills
- familiarity with Trauma Informed practice
- experience or knowledge of SMART goals and how to facilitate creating SMART goals with a client
- Occasional weekends (Saturday) for recruitment fairs and parent engagement activities
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in social work or early childhood education
- Experience working with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds
- Infant Mental Health endorsement
