Job Summary
Conduct weekly home visits and lead socialization groups for pregnant women and families with infants or toddlers to support healthy development. Partner with low-income and immigrant families to enhance growth through education on health, nutrition, parenting, and social services. Manage a caseload of 12 families by prioritizing activities, setting goals, and using computerized data systems to track services. Work full-time Monday through Friday with occasional evenings and weekends. Bilingual language skills are required.
Required Qualifications
- Commitment to working with low-income and immigrant families and pregnant women
- Knowledge of community resources or how to access community and social services
- Ability to work with different computerized data systems to track all services to the families
- Minimum of a home-based CDA credential or comparable credential, or equivalent coursework as part of an associate's or bachelor's degree
- CDA (Child Development Credential) in Home Visiting or Infants and toddlers
- Associate's degree or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related Human Services field
- Background check clearance for Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI), Sex Offender Register Check (SORI), Finger Printing and Department of Children and Families
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with low income and diverse young children and their families
- Bilingual language skills
- CDA (Child Development Credential) in Home Visiting or Infants and toddlers (for Program Support Specialist track)
- Associate's degree or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related Human Services field (for Program Support Specialist track)
