Job Summary
Plan and lead weekly 90-minute, child-focused home visits using the Parents As Teachers curriculum to support early developmental milestones. Act as the primary liaison between families and contracted child care centers by conducting classroom visits, leading monthly "Kid Talks," and maintaining strong communication lines. Administer evidence-based screenings for vision and hearing, utilize the Teaching Strategies GOLD tool to assess growth, and set actionable individual goals alongside parents. Use a strengths-based approach to link families to vital community programs, track child health statuses, and support medical and dental follow-ups. Organize and facilitate parent committees, group socials, and program events, occasionally providing safe transportation in an Eagle County vehicle.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years working directly with families, human services, or within an early childhood education setting
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (both written and oral)
- A valid Colorado driver's license
- A clean motor vehicle record
- Reliable transportation
- The ability to pass mandatory criminal and child abuse background checks
- Deep empathy
- An open communication style
- A non-judgmental, strengths-based approach to family dynamics
- A strong understanding of early childhood development milestones
- A true willingness to work deeply within the homes of low-income families
- Comfort utilizing modern databases (like ChildPlus)
- Comfort utilizing Microsoft Office
- Comfort utilizing Google Chrome
- Weekends and evenings may be required
- Weekly in-office collaboration at our main office in Edwards, CO
- Some remote work flexibility
- Meaningful time traveling to visit families right in their homes across Eagle County
- Ability to occasionally provide safe transportation in an Eagle County vehicle
