Job Summary
Determine customer needs and answer questions about Sherwin-Williams products to recommend solutions and resolve concerns promptly. Build trust relationships with wholesale and retail customers while achieving monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals. Process sales transactions accurately, pull products from inventory, tint and mix items to specifications, and stock shelves or set up displays. Clean equipment, load or unload delivery trucks, and maintain in-stock, presentable store areas. Remain knowledgeable on product options and suggest ways to improve sales. Maintain precise work order files and comply with inventory control procedures. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
Required Qualifications
- At least eighteen (18) years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish
- Ability, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion
- Willingness to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation
- If internal to Sherwin-Williams: received at least a 'meets expectations' (3) rating on most recent performance appraisal
- If internal to Sherwin-Williams: completed all HR Cloud eLearning courses required for current position
Desired Qualifications
- Valid, unrestricted Driver's License
- At least a High School diploma or GED
- At least one (1) year of experience working in a delivery, retail, or customer service position
- Previous work experience selling paint and paint-related products
- Previous work experience operating tinting and mixing equipment
