Job Summary
Determine customer needs, answer questions about Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend solutions to wholesale and retail clients. Resolve customer concerns promptly while maintaining visual standards and achieving monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals. Process sales transactions accurately, pull products from the sales floor or warehouse, and tint or mix products to customer specifications. Stock shelves, set up displays, clean equipment, and load/unload delivery trucks as needed. Maintain precise work order files, comply with inventory control procedures, and suggest ways to improve sales. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent in-person and phone service.
Required Qualifications
- At least eighteen (18) years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish
- Ability to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion
- Willingness to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation
- If internal to Sherwin-Williams: received at least a 'meets expectations' (3) rating on most recent performance appraisal
- If internal to Sherwin-Williams: completed all HR Cloud eLearning courses required for current position
Desired Qualifications
- Valid, unrestricted Driver's License
- At least a High School diploma or GED
- At least one (1) year of experience working in a delivery, retail, or customer service position
- Previous work experience selling paint and paint-related products
- Previous work experience operating tinting and mixing equipment
