Job Summary
Provide translation and interpretation services for international passengers and federal agents at the airport, including assisting with routine inspections, deportation or prosecution case support, and providing information on flights, facilities, and travel requirements in English, Portuguese, and Spanish as needed. Duties include operating public address systems, assisting passengers at the Passenger Information Counters, and delivering accurate information while maintaining professional customer service standards across international and domestic concourses. Position involves walking/standing for extended periods and handling time-sensitive interpretation tasks in a dynamic, high-traffic environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Portuguese
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and Portuguese; demonstrated skill in effective written communication in at least one foreign language
- Will be required to provide written and verbal communication testing in both languages during the interview process
