Responsibilities include reviewing patient account notes for insurance benefits or financial assistance, requesting documents for insurance billing or financial assistance processing, contacting patients to gather information for applications, updating systems accurately for each work event, resolving issues with guidance from management, and contributing to process improvements. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bilingual Spanish speaking
- Experience in hospital or physician medical billing (preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good attendance record
