Job Summary

Bilingual Collections Specialist handling delinquent accounts in a remote role for BriteCap Financial. Responsibilities include calling, emailing, and texting delinquent customers; responding to questions about account status, invoicing, and payments; proactively contacting customers to resolve payment defaults; documenting all interactions; obtaining promises to pay; skiptracing when required; conducting early payment default research and resolution; reconciling cash applications with customers; processing buy-outs; handling 50+ accounts per day (50–100+ calls) per policy; negotiating and processing payment plans per policy; reviewing accounts with management for potential hardships or adjustments; communicating with both English- and Spanish-speaking customers regarding status and repayment plans; and utilizing tools such as HubSpot, Excel, Word, and Outlook. The role requires professional fluency in English and Spanish, strong organizational and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but will consider associate or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years collections experience, preferably in commercial or consumer lending (MCA and Loan product experience preferred)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required – must be able to speak, read, and write fluently in both languages, including professional-level communication and negotiation
  • Well organized – capable of handling multiple tasks while setting priorities and addressing issues in proper order
  • Resourceful – problem-solving aptitude and ability to leverage resources for recovery efforts
  • Investigative Mindset – ability to analyze information and draw logical conclusions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (in both English and Spanish)
  • Flexible – able to adapt to new procedures and processes
  • Team Oriented – collaborate across departments
  • Advanced computer and data entry skills (Word, Excel, Outlook); HubSpot knowledge a plus
