Job Summary
Conduct trauma-informed mental health services including assessments, counseling, crisis intervention, and family sessions for children, youth, and foster caregivers. Perform on-site and community-based visits to monitor client well-being, coordinate medical, educational, and social services, and facilitate reunification efforts. Complete required risk, human trafficking, and safety assessments while maintaining caseloads and documentation standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver comprehensive support. Requires bilingual English/Spanish fluency, a valid driver's license, and ability to travel 25%-30% of the time. On-call availability for nights and weekends is necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Master's or doctorate degree from an accredited program, university, or college in psychology, social work, counseling, marriage and family counseling, or other behavioral discipline in which clinical experience is a program requirement.
- Must be licensed or eligible for licensure.
- Non-licensed staff must be actively working towards licensure while employed and attain licensure within 3 years of employment date.
- Bilingual English/Spanish fluency required to serve the children and families.
- Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, internet search, people management programs, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.
- A willingness to work flexible and non-traditional hours with a possibility of being on call on nights/weekends, in the service of foster caregivers, families of origin, and people served.
- Must be able to organize, navigate, and physically escort youth to various travel destinations possibly including airlines, trains, and buses.
- Travel may include out-of-state trips up to 25%-30% to unify youth with families.
- Minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,000/300,000 bodily liability coverage.
- 21 years of age, a valid state driver's license, a reliable personal vehicle, and a good driving record.
- Follow ORR, CDC, and State Covid 19 related protocols.
- Capacity to be flexible and responsive to youth served, foster caregivers, system partners, and internal/external stakeholders.
- Use of manual dexterity, tactile, visual, and audio acuity.
- Use of repetitive motion, prolonged periods of sitting and standing, and sustained visual and mental applications and demands.
- Occasional lifting (up to 25 pounds), bending, pulling, and carrying.
- Ability to travel frequently and drive a vehicle while sitting for extended periods, with frequency varying based on program demands.
