Job Summary
Conduct trauma-informed mental health services including assessments, individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and family sessions for children, youth, and foster caregivers. Perform on-site and home visits to monitor client well-being, coordinate community-based medical, educational, and psychological services, and facilitate reunification efforts. Complete required clinical assessments, safety plans, and documentation while collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Screen for human trafficking concerns and provide orientation to youth in care. Travel up to 30% of the time, including out-of-state trips, to escort youth and support families. Maintain an active caseload, achieve established productivity thresholds, and complete all training and documentation in a timely manner. Bilingual English/Spanish fluency required.
Required Qualifications
- Master's or doctorate degree from an accredited program, university, or college in psychology, social work, counseling, marriage and family counseling, or other behavioral discipline in which clinical experience is a program requirement.
- Must be licensed or eligible for licensure.
- Non-licensed staff must be actively working towards licensure while employed and attain licensure within 3 years of employment date.
- Bilingual English/Spanish fluency required to serve the children and families.
- Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, internet search, people management programs, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.
- A willingness to work flexible and non-traditional hours with a possibility of being on call on nights/weekends, in the service of foster caregivers, families of origin, and people served.
- Must be able to organize, navigate, and physically escort youth to various travel destinations possibly including airlines, trains, and buses.
- Travel may include out-of-state trips up to 25%-30% to unify youth with families.
- Minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,000/300,000 bodily liability coverage.
- 21 years of age, a valid state driver's license, a reliable personal vehicle, and a good driving record.
- Follow ORR, CDC, and State Covid 19 related protocols.
- Capacity to be flexible and responsive to youth served, foster caregivers, system partners, and internal/external stakeholders.
