Job Summary
Conduct intake interviews, comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, and DSM diagnoses for children and families. Deliver individual, family, and group psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and case management services in both English and Spanish while translating clinical concepts accurately. Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to develop treatment plans, coordinate community resources, and serve as a liaison between clients, schools, and medical providers. Respond to clinical emergencies and participate in team meetings and trainings. Complete timely documentation in the electronic medical record. Travel throughout the Greater New Haven area daily, with occasional in-home sessions and school-based meetings required.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in a Mental Health Discipline
- Fluency in both English and Spanish
- Valid Connecticut driver's license and reliable transportation
- Connecticut clinical licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or Psychologist)
- Ability to provide clinical assessments, psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and case management services in both English and Spanish
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with clients, families, schools, medical providers, and community partners in both languages
- Ability to document services accurately and timely within the Electronic Medical Record
- Ability to conduct screenings, evaluations, and formulate DSM diagnoses
- Ability to develop measurable, individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and families
- Ability to coordinate referrals and community resources
- Ability to triage behavioral health emergencies
- Ability to utilize evidence-based and trauma-informed practices
- Knowledge of school systems and multidisciplinary collaboration
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a school-based behavioral health setting
- Must demonstrate bilingual proficiency through CBCCC's approved language proficiency assessment prior to employment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with early childhood and working within a school
- Experience providing behavioral health services to bilingual and multicultural populations
- Connecticut clinical licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or Psychologist) preferred
