Job Summary
Provide clerical support to a nationwide team of claims adjusters by entering stop/cancel/release of checks, processing cash receipts, and completing complex state forms. Keep claims data accurate by inputting policy information for new and existing claims, reviewing each claim for payment, and documenting date issued and check numbers. Research financials to verify payment information and review outstanding checks in various claim systems to determine if payments are still outstanding or returned. Extensively communicate with customers by answering incoming calls, processing electronic mail, preparing written correspondence, and processing outgoing mail, with the majority of the workday spent on telephone communication. Review applicable systems to document findings in FSITrack as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma (or equivalent) and 3 years' prior relevant work experience
- Vocational or technical education with at least one year of relevant work experience
- Highly accurate typing with speed of at least 50 wpm
- Ability to communicate clearly on the telephone
- Ability to read, speak, and write English fluently
- Ability to read, speak, and write Spanish fluently
- Extremely detail oriented
- Effective time management skills and ability to prioritize workload while handling multiple tasks and deadlines
- Ability to be a team player that communicates and collaborates with peers to achieve common goals in a team environment
- Strong sense of accountability and pride in completing an excellent work product
