Job Summary
Conduct on-site admission interviews, coordinate case management services for children in care, and maintain active caseloads focused on sponsorship and reunification processes. Complete timely assessments, ensure document uploads into ORR's UC Portal, and drive children to facilitate program services including transportation to court appointments. Provide weekly updates to youth and family members, coordinate referrals to external providers, and participate in pre and staffing processes. Act as a program liaison with foster caregivers, report significant incidents, and mentor guide other case managers on ORR policies and best practices. Work flexible schedules including weekends and evenings with an 8-case minimum load. Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in the behavioral sciences, human services or social services fields
- Fluency in Spanish
- Minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,000/300,000 bodily liability coverage
- 21 years of age
- Valid state driver's license
- Reliable personal vehicle
- Good driving record
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to facilitate program services, including working on call schedules which includes weekends and evenings
- Must be able to work 8 UC cases with minimal supervision
- Ensure the proper supervision of youth at all times
- Demonstrates tolerance and respect for the ideas and actions of others
- Possess a sincere desire and ability to advocate for children facing behavioral health, immigration, educational, legal, development, and socio-economic challenges
- Use of manual dexterity, tactile, visual, and audio acuity
- Use of repetitive motion, prolonged periods of sitting and standing, and sustained visual and mental applications and demands
- Occasional lifting (up to 25 pounds), bending, pulling, and carrying
- Ability to travel frequently and drive vehicle while sitting for extended periods
