Job Summary
Bilingual Behavioral Technician providing non-physical, emotional and behavioral support to children with developmental and intellectual disabilities in-home, in-community, and in-center. Responsibilities include implementing strategies from each child’s Individual Support Plan, conducting functional assessments (ADLs), using redirection to manage behavioral concerns, submitting timely visit notes, responding to crises with de-escalation and safety strategies, engaging clients in activity-based growth, and attending case reviews and required trainings. Role requires strong active listening, empathy, verbal and written communication, organizational skills, independence and collaboration, and familiarity with evidence-based approaches for developmental disabilities. Spanish-speaking candidates are encouraged to apply; valid NJ driver’s license and state/federal background checks are required. A sign-on bonus of $300 is offered for Cumberland County placement; pathways for qualification are outlined (RBT/BACB experience or related degrees and supervised experience). Hours typically 5–20 hours per week with 2–4 hour evening shifts; services include in-home, in-community, and in-center settings.
Required Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire
- Working toward RBT Certification within 6 months of hire
- New Jersey Driver’s License
- Background checks (state and federal)
- Pre-employment drug screen
- Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) encouraged
- Experience requirements per NJ guidelines for RBT/BACB or related education level
