Job Summary
Bilingual Behavioral Technician responsibilities include providing non-physical, emotional, and behavioral support to children with developmental and intellectual disabilities in-home, in-community, and in-center settings; implementing individualized support plans; conducting functional assessments; using redirection strategies; submitting visit notes; responding to crises with de-escalation and safety strategies; engaging clients in activities; attending team meetings and trainings; and following agency protocols. Ideal candidates are Spanish-speaking, authorized to work in the U.S. with no visa sponsorship, and able to obtain NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months while pursuing RBT certification, with valid New Jersey driver’s license and successful background checks. Sign-on bonus of $300 offered. Expected to work 5–20 hours per week with evenings. Benefits include PTO, sick time, healthcare, disability coverage, 401K, and ongoing training.
Required Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available)
- Must complete the NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire
- Must be working towards receiving their Registered Behavioral Technician Certification within 6 months of hire
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Must pass all state and federal background checks
- Pre-employment drug screen required
- Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) candidates encouraged to apply
- Pathways for Qualification Based on New Jersey Guidelines: if RBT with BACB, 1 year supervised experience; if Bachelor's degree in relevant fields, 1 year supervised experience; if High School Diploma or GED, 3 years supervised experience
