Job Summary
Provide non-physical, emotional, and behavioral support to children with developmental and intellectual disabilities in-home, in-community, and in-center. Roles include implementing strategies from each child’s Individual Support Plan, conducting functional assessments (ADLs), using redirection to manage behavioral concerns, submitting timely visit notes, responding to crises with de-escalation and safety strategies, engaging clients in activities to promote growth, and participating in case reviews, team meetings, and required trainings. The position requires strong listening and communication skills, empathy, patience, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) candidates are encouraged to apply. The role is governed by NJ guidelines and involves eligibility for a $300 sign-on bonus as part of the Cumberland County offering.
Required Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available)
- Must complete the NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire
- Must be working towards receiving their Registered Behavioral Technician Certification within 6 months of hire
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Must pass all state and federal background checks
- Pre-employment drug screen required for this role
