Job Summary
Bilingual Behavioral Technician provides non-physical, emotional and behavioral support to children with developmental and intellectual disabilities in-home, in-community, and in-center. Roles include implementing each child’s Individual Support Plan, conducting Activities of Daily Living assessments, using redirection strategies for behavioral concerns, submitting visit notes after sessions, responding to crises with de-escalation techniques, engaging clients in growth-focused activities, and attending case reviews and required trainings. Work is 5–20 hours per week with 2–4 hour evening shifts. Requires NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months, pursuit of RBT certification within 6 months, a valid NJ driver’s license, and successful background checks and pre-employment drug screen. Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) candidates are encouraged to apply.
Required Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available)
- Must complete NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire
- Must be working towards receiving their Registered Behavioral Technician Certification within 6 months of hire
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Must pass state and federal background checks
- Pre-employment drug screen required
- Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) candidates encouraged to apply
- Pathways for Qualification Based on New Jersey Guidelines: If RBT, or BA/psychology/etc pathways require supervised experience; High School Diploma or GED pathway requires three years of supervised experience
