Job Summary
Provide non-physical, emotional and behavioral support to children and families with developmental and intellectual disabilities in-home, in-community, and in-center settings. Responsibilities include implementing strategies from Individual Support Plans, conducting functional assessments (ADLs), using redirection strategies for behavioral concerns, submitting visit notes, responding to crises with de-escalation, engaging clients in growth-oriented activities, attending case reviews and trainings, and adhering to agency protocols. Candidates should be bilingual (Spanish-speaking encouraged) and prepared to pursue NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months and RBT certification within 6 months, with a valid NJ driver’s license and ability to pass background checks and a pre-employment drug screen. Required Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must complete the NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire
- Must be working towards receiving their Registered Behavioral Technician Certification within 6 months of hire
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Must pass all state and federal background checks
- Pre-employment drug screen required
- Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) candidates encouraged to apply
- RBT or BACB credential pathway options with supervised experience requirements per NJ guidelines
- High School Diploma or GED pathway with required supervised experience (as applicable)
