Bilingual Behavioral Assistant (Essex County)

Job Summary
Provide in-home and community-based behavioral support to youth and caregivers; implement treatment plans; deliver services under the supervision of a licensed therapist; utilize evidence-based interventions and positive reinforcement; assist families with treatment plan implementation; collect, track, and report progress, including graphs when required; submit accurate weekly clinical progress notes within 24 hours of service provision; assist with caregiver/staff training under supervision; recognize, prevent, and intervene in crisis situations; participate in required training and adhere to agency policies; must complete NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire; requires a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field; 2–4 years of experience in behavioral healthcare; valid NJ driver’s license; background checks; pre-employment drug screen; bilingual candidates encouraged, with no visa sponsorship provided.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
- 2–4 years of experience in behavioral healthcare, preferably with children with developmental/intellectual disabilities or mental illness
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Must pass all state and federal background checks
- A pre-employment, post conditional job offer drug screen is required for this role
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship
- NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire
- Bilingual candidates (especially Spanish-speaking) encouraged to apply
