Job Summary
Conduct assessments for City of Chicago early childhood programs, including inter-reliability evaluations, and prepare evaluation reports according to required timeframes and criteria. Participate in inter-rater reliability training for all assessment tools and maintain the necessary level of reliability. Attend all assessment team, supervision, and all-staff meetings. This role requires lifting up to 25 pounds, walking short distances, and standing for extended periods while traveling throughout Chicago to assessment locations. Travel to Chicago, Wheeling, or Lisle campuses for special meetings and events is also required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Three to five (3-5) years teaching or administrative experience in the field of early childhood education
- 1+(plus) years high level of prior leadership experience and skill
- 1+ (plus) years high level of reliability on observation tools
- Willing to travel within Chicago, and to Wheeling as needed
- Willing to attend ongoing training to obtain and retain on assessment tools
- Prior experience in early childhood assessment
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Walk short distances
- Stand for extended periods while conducting assessments
- Travel throughout the city
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to come into the Chicago, Wheeling, or Lisle campus for special meetings/events
