Job Summary
Anchor live morning newscasts with energy and authority, writing and producing compelling stories that connect with the Georgia audience. Drive digital growth by creating streaming and social content, then use editing skills to transform raw footage into high-impact visual stories. Maintain deep knowledge of local current events and provide seamless English-to-Spanish translations using native-level fluency. This role launches a new morning show and expands the station's massive digital presence within Telemundo Atlanta's award-winning news team.
Required Qualifications
- On-camera presence: You have proven experience anchoring news and know how to command the screen with confidence and empathy.
- 2+ years of experience producing newscasts with a track record of solid news judgment and journalistic ethics.
- Native Spanish speaker with professional-level proficiency in English (both written and verbal).
- Comfortable navigating and editing software like Edius or Premiere Pro.
- Strong news research skills and a relentless drive to uncover the 'why' behind the story.
- Valid driver's license and the flexibility to cover the news wherever it happens.
- Must be available for weekend shifts
