Job Summary
Theoria Technical College is seeking a Bilingual Academic Affairs Coordinator-Spanish to provide day-to-day academic support, act as a central operations resource for the Academic Affairs team, and ensure timely academic guidance and reliable coordination across LMS (Orbund) and SIS. The role emphasizes student academic success, accurate execution of academic actions, and effective communication with students, faculty, and staff. Responsibilities include advising and supporting students on course planning and degree/certificate progression, issuing and tracking academic alerts, coordinating with faculty and Student Services on attendance and SAP concerns, supporting orientation and onboarding, managing academic communications (including Spanish-language outreach when applicable), uploading documents to LMS/SIS, tracking grade submissions and engagement records, supporting faculty onboarding and RSI expectations, coordinating academic operations through term start-up and end-of-term processing, and assisting with accreditation-related documentation. Preferred qualifications include bilingual Spanish fluency and familiarity with accreditation processes, Title IV readiness, and diverse student populations.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in academic advising, student services, or a comparable student-facing role in a postsecondary or educational setting.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to work patiently and constructively with students.
- Detail & Follow-Through: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple student interactions accurately and follow through to resolution.
- Technical: Proficient with student information systems, learning management systems (Orbund, Canvas, or comparable), and standard office productivity tools.
- Confidentiality: Demonstrated handling of confidential student information consistent with FERPA and institutional privacy expectations.
