Job Summary
Conduct practical bike training and riding assessments for all drivers, covering control, braking, cornering, and defensive riding techniques. Monitor sessions to correct unsafe behaviors and administer written/practical tests requiring an 80% pass mark before dispatch clearance. Perform pre-ride and post-ride inspections, train on bike maintenance, and report mechanical or safety issues to the Maintenance team. Identify riders needing additional coaching and retrain them until competency is achieved. Maintain accurate records of practice sheets, attendance, and performance trackers while preparing regular training reports. Collaborate with Operations, Customer Experience, and other departments to address training gaps and ensure drivers understand operational SOPs and platform expectations.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Training, Education, Business Administration, Transport Management, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related field
- Previous experience in driver training, motorcycle/e-bike operations, practical riding assessment, transport operations, or fleet management
- Strong practical riding skills with the ability to train and assess other riders
- Demonstrable knowledge of motorcycle/e-bike maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and daily inspection procedures
- Knowledge of road safety, defensive riding, and traffic regulations
- Experience conducting practical assessments and providing corrective coaching
- Good computer skills, including Excel, Google Workspace, CRM tools, and digital reporting systems
- Ability to identify mechanical or safety-related issues and escalate them appropriately
- A valid motorcycle riding license and relevant riding experience
