Job Summary
Bike Patrol Officer role on a Memorial City Mall campus, focusing on securing designated areas, conducting bike patrols, delivering customer-service oriented security, and reporting incidents. Requires weekend availability, a valid Texas driver’s license, ability to ride a multispeed bike, pass background checks and drug screening, and completion of required security trainings including First-Aid/AED. Must work outdoors and be comfortable with varying schedules including nights and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Possess a valid driver’s license with good driving record
- Must be able to ride and maneuver a multispeed Mountain Bike for the duration of your shift
- Must be familiar or willing to familiarize yourself with Texas Bike Laws and general bike safety
- Must pass a Motor Vehicle Records check as a condition of employment
- Must submit to a background investigation in accordance with all Federal, State and Local laws
- Applicant will be subject to a drug screening as a condition of employment
- Must possess, or obtain, a Non-Commissioned Security Officer, Level II for the State of Texas as a condition of employment
- Must complete Security Program’s new-hire training within one month of job offer
- Will be required to pass First-Aid/AED training within the first year of employment
- Ability to articulate information clearly and concisely, in both verbal and written form
- Communicate well via phone or handheld radio
- Remains calm under pressure
- Great problem solver and works well independently
- Enjoys working with diverse groups or people and organizations in a dynamic work environment
- Experience with incident reporting and documentation
- Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Teams and basic computer software
