Job Summary

Repair and inspect the mountain bike and BMX fleet for program utilization while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area. Order materials and spare parts to keep the program running safely, ensuring proper security and care of all repair equipment. Assist in the set up and takedown of the SBR mountain bike shop and other facilities, while imparting bike care knowledge to staff. Model the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactions and perform additional duties assigned by leadership. Requires entry-level certification, ability to stand and lift up to 70 pounds for 8-hour shifts, and willingness to become a registered Scouting America member.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum age: 18+
  • entry level bike mechanic certification
  • bike shop mechanic experience
  • Willing to become a registered Scouting America member
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bike up to 8 hours daily
  • ability to lift/move up to 70 pounds
  • Complete the Annual Health and Medical Record
