Job Summary
Assess the BigQuery and GCP environment, establish baselines for performance, security, and operational risks, and implement prioritized improvements within the first 60 days. Optimize SQL queries, data structures, and resource consumption to enhance workload performance, scalability, and cost efficiency. Support data modernization by migrating legacy workloads to BigQuery using Talend or comparable ETL tools, validating data accuracy, and resolving integration issues. Strengthen IAM, access controls, and governance practices to ensure compliance and reduce security risks. Establish repeatable best practices for monitoring, troubleshooting, and change management while collaborating with engineering and architecture teams. Evaluate AI-assisted tools to automate administration, optimize SQL, and accelerate root-cause analysis.
