Job Summary
Ranch Manager and Caretaker responsible for all aspects of a ~10,000-acre Montana ranch including land and infrastructure maintenance, lease oversight, crop production, wildlife management, and guest-ready accommodations. Manage fencing, roads, water systems, buildings, and disaster preparedness; coordinate grazing leases; oversee crops (alfalfa, grasses); lead projects and improvements; implement wildlife enhancement and hunting programs; ensure guest experiences and vehicles/equipment are prepared for visits; maintain ranch equipment and buildings; monitor security and property upkeep; potential light work at other Montana properties. Requires 5+ years in ranch management or similar, strong knowledge of fencing/water/equipment, wildlife management experience, and independent, detail-focused problem-solving and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of ranch management or related experience
- Strong knowledge of fencing, water systems, and equipment
- Experience with wildlife management and hunting
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail and communication skills
