Job Summary
Bid Manager coordinates inputs from cross-functional teams to develop high-quality bids and proposals for prospective customers. Under senior Bid/Capture leadership, the role ensures bid documents comply with internal processes, supports Gate 1 and Gate 2 reviews, and contributes to defining bid strategy, cash mandates, and contract terms. Responsibilities include collecting and organizing inputs from functional teams, maintaining adherence to bid processes, identifying risks and opportunities, and supporting process-improvement initiatives. The position requires a university degree and a minimum of three years of bid/proposal development or related coordination experience, strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders. The role is Hybrid in Ottawa, with a mix of remote and on-site work, and involves access to controlled hardware/software data and eligibility for security clearances.
Required Qualifications
- University degree and/or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in bid/proposal development or related coordination roles
- Experience in customer requirements identification and compliance strategy
- Experience in bids governance and bid production (cost estimate pack)
- Ability to structure and present information to senior leadership
- Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented
- Excellent communication skills in English; French preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively and adapt to shifting priorities
- Experience drafting or coordinating technical proposals (preferred)
- Experience in complex, global matrixed organizations (preferred)
- Experience in government/procurement environments (preferred)
Additional Requirements
- Requires direct or indirect access to hardware, software, technology or technical data controlled under various export control regimes (Canadian CCGP, ITAR, EAR) and NATO Secret clearance eligibility
