Job Summary
Bid Manager Americas at Thales, based in Hybrid Austin, TX, responsible for leading capture, bid, and proposal activities for IAM/CIAM opportunities in the Americas. Drives pursuit strategy, coordinates cross-functional contributors, ensures governance and compliance, writes and edits compliant proposals, supports pricing and risk management, and engages stakeholders to articulate Thales’s value. Responsibilities include developing win themes, coordinating input from sales, product management, solution architecture, legal, finance, and other teams; end-to-end proposal development; budgeting and pricing collaboration; risk management and governance adherence; stakeholder relationship management across regions; quality assurance of bid content; and supporting presentations and negotiations. Requirements include a bachelor's degree (or equivalent), 5+ years in bid/proposal/capture management or related roles, strong writing, communication, and project-management skills, experience with bid tools and Salesforce, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and permissible work status in the United States (visa sponsorship not available). Preference for Spanish language proficiency and cross-functional collaboration across regions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, science, engineering, communications, or a related field OR equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience in bid management, proposal management, capture management, or related commercial roles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship-building with prospects, partners, and internal stakeholders
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple opportunities
- Proficiency in bid management tools, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus
