Job Summary
Review AV bid packages, construction documents, and specifications to develop detailed equipment, labor, and project management estimates. Perform quantity takeoffs, identify scope gaps and risks, and coordinate pricing with manufacturers and partners. Analyze system requirements for video conferencing, displays, audio, and control systems while verifying compatibility and assisting with value engineering. Serve as the primary contact for RFPs, track deadlines, and prepare bid summaries for management approval. Collaborate with sales, design engineering, and procurement to support proposal development and post-bid reviews. Contribute to estimating standards, maintain historical cost data, and support automation initiatives. Occasional travel to project sites or industry events required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in audiovisual integration, estimating, engineering, project management, or related technical field
- Experience with bid review/submission process and guidelines
- Working knowledge of commercial AV systems and integration practices
- Ability to read and interpret: Construction drawings
- Ability to read and interpret: Architectural plans
- Ability to read and interpret: AV system drawings
- Ability to read and interpret: Specifications
- Ability to read and interpret: Bid documents
- Strong understanding of AV labor requirements and installation practices
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and estimating software tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and organizational abilities
Desired Qualifications
- AVIXA CTS certification (CTS, CTS-D, or CTS-I)
- Experience with enterprise videoconferencing platforms including Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Cisco, Logitech, Poly, and similar technologies
- Experience with Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, Biamp, Shure, Sennheiser and other commercial AV manufacturers
- Familiarity with Bluebeam, Visio, or similar technical documentation platforms
- Estimating experience within low-voltage, audiovisual, structured cabling, electrical, or technology construction industries
