Job Summary
Repair a wide range of bikes from brand-new race machines to daily commuters while maintaining your workspace, tools, and tech station for safety and efficiency. Communicate with customers in person and via our digital system to provide repair updates, and learn and follow safety procedures for tools, equipment, and cleaning materials. Receive ongoing mentorship and advanced repair instruction from your on-site Bike Tech Manager to progress from beginner technician to advanced mechanic.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and comprehend and explain documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English
- Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, in English
- Ideally 1+ years of experience with bicycle maintenance
- A quick learner with technical aptitude and great communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable working with your hands and using tools regularly
- Physically up for it! Lifting bikes, climbing ladders, and moving around the store is part of the gig
- Comfortable chatting with customers in person and on the phone
- Capable of standing for long periods and performing repetitive motions
- Motivated to succeed in a goal-oriented, fast-paced environment
- Flexible and available to work weekends as needed
- The ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds' solo and up to 50 pounds' shoulder to height repetitively throughout the day
