Job Summary
Bibliographic Specialist responsible for checking bibliographic data, cataloging at paper level, author-name checking, updating/entry, and processing author correspondence; participates in cataloging collection and database expansion, and supports departmental projects. Daily tasks include ensuring correct author name presentation, applying publisher intent to titles, verifying metadata, assigning institution codes, updating language/edition/contributor fields, researching editorial information on reprints/editions, and assisting in department processes; hybrid work arrangement with travel 5% and office-based responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Familiarity with foreign languages desirable
- Strong database and web searching skills
- Attention to detail in bibliographic data
- Independent work ability
