BI Reporting Analyst, TPO Data & Insights

Job Summary
Collaborate with TSE Product Owners and Product Managers to address reporting and analytics requirements, eliciting and documenting business needs for metrics, report design, and dashboards. Translate these requirements into technical specifications, develop wireframes, and design, develop, and maintain pipelines, data models, reports, and dashboards primarily in Power BI using multiple data sources and complex queries. Analyze large datasets to identify relationships, patterns, and trends, then lead reporting demos and design reviews to validate requirements with stakeholders. Develop, execute, and document test plans for Power BI reports, perform ongoing monitoring and refinement, and troubleshoot data quality issues to determine root causes. Seek opportunities to standardize and automate data calculations for efficient, consistent reporting. Maintain backlog stories reflecting work progress while completing special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience/certifications
- 5+ years overall experience in data analytics or related field
- 3+ years' experience in development, testing and implementation of sophisticated reports, and dashboards using Power BI
- 3+ years' experience querying and manipulating large quantities of data using SQL
- 3+ years' experience storytelling with data to provide effective visualizations of information and actionable insights for decision-making
- Expertise in report development using Power BI and SQL queries
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with Tableau
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure or Fabric
- Experience working with Snowflake data warehousing
- Experience working with JIRA data
- Experience responding to user requests and formulating responses using both business and technical knowledge
- Comfortable with concepts around extract transform and load (ETL) of data into standard aggregated manner for reporting
- Experience programming in DAX or Python
- Ability to independently manage small projects while also contributing to larger initiatives
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Agile experience is a plus
