BI Platform Engineer

BI Platform Engineer responsible for designing and maintaining Power BI semantic models (star schemas, calculated tables, measure libraries) and governing data architecture within a small BI team inside IFS R&D Product. You will own certification of shared datasets with IT, implement row-level security, design and manage workspace architecture and deployment pipelines (dev→test→prod), and lead ingestion pipelines for REST data sources (GitHub, Jira, ServiceNow, Claude API). Collaborate with Lead/Senior BI Analysts on Fabric Lakehouse migrations, drive governance standards, and champion data quality. Enable self-service reporting, provide technical mentorship on semantic modeling and DAX best practices, and ensure models expose correct measures and dimensions for analytical use. This role emphasizes the underlying data architecture rather than visuals and dashboards, focusing on the schema, security, refresh architecture, and scalable data platforms (Power BI, Microsoft Fabric).
