Job Summary
Business Intelligence Developer role focusing on building and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports. Responsibilities include gathering requirements from business stakeholders, building and optimising data models using DAX and SSAS Tabular for dynamic, time-aware reporting, integrating data from multiple sources, writing SQL queries and procedures, and ensuring reports are secure, governed, and high-performing within Deloitte’s environment. The role involves deploying and maintaining reports, providing training and guidance to internal users, collaborating across teams, and staying current with emerging BI technologies and best practices. Requires a minimum of 2 years’ experience in BI, strong Power BI skills, DAX/SSAS experience, SQL Server proficiency, data warehousing/ETL/ELT knowledge, Azure data services familiarity, and DevOps/CI/CD awareness. Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management abilities are essential, along with the ability to manage priorities and work independently as part of a diverse team.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a full-time business intelligence, reporting, or data analytics role
- Proficiency in Power BI, including report development, administration, and optimisation
- Strong experience with DAX, SSAS Tabular or semantic models, and dimensional data modelling
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including writing and troubleshooting SQL queries and procedures
- Experience working with data warehousing concepts and ETL/ELT processes
- Familiarity with Azure data services and cloud-based reporting environments
- Knowledge of DevOps practices or CI/CD automation for reporting and data pipelines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- The ability to manage priorities, work independently when required, and contribute positively to team objectives
