BI Analytics Engineer (dbt & BigQuery Specialist)

Job Summary
BI Analytics Engineer responsible for owning and refactoring the dbt project and BigQuery warehouse, optimizing performance and costs, and delivering actionable dashboards in Looker Studio. Role emphasizes platform stewardship, warehouse optimization, and translating business questions into technical data products. You will design, build, and maintain Looker Studio dashboards, implement data modeling and CI/CD standards (Git), and collaborate with department leads to identify KPIs. Expect to improve data documentation, address technical debt in views/models, and communicate complex SQL concepts clearly across teams.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in an Analytics Engineering or BI role
- Expert-level SQL and experience with Google BigQuery
- Hands-on experience managing dbt in a production environment
- Proficiency in Looker Studio (experience with Looker/LookML is a plus)
- Git/Version Control experience is a must
- Familiarity with Python for basic scripting or data manipulation is preferred
- Fluent English (C1 level), both written and spoken
