Job Summary
Gather and analyze business and technical requirements to develop BI reporting standards, templates, and dashboards for users. Design, develop, and implement data pipelines for migration, collection, analytics, and visualization while troubleshooting technical issues and supporting infrastructure needs. Maintain existing corporate reporting documents, server environments, and technical documentation to ensure operational effectiveness and continuous platform performance improvements. Apply SQL and Power BI skills to maximize the value of data-driven solutions and support visualization developers within the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in commerce, Computer Science, Information Systems or similar
- MS Power BI
- Snowflake Data Warehouse
- Oracle and SQL databases
- SQL skills
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Power BI
- Power BI Developer certification and exposure to Snowflake Data Warehouse
- Communications (verbal & written), analytical, research and problem-solving skills
- Able to engage effectively and confidently with users, team members and management
- Time management and Negotiation skills
- Solid experience working with Oracle and SQL databases
- Demonstrated working knowledge of SQL program language
- Demonstrated knowledge of relational database environments
Desired Qualifications
- Microsoft Power BI certification
- AWS and Data Engineering skills
- System Administration functions for a PowerBI environment
- Best practice knowledge of systems development practices, methodologies and frameworks in an Information Technology context
- Knowledge and experience of the utilities industry
- Relevant product certifications
- Agile way of working
